The Lord’s Pentecostal Church Supports Countryside Children Home

The Lord’s Pentecostal Church International (Abundant Life Centre), located at Kwashieman recently donated assorted items worth GH¢2,000 and a cash of GH¢1,000 to the Countryside Children’s Welfare Home in Awutu- Bawjiase in the Central Region.

The donated items which were handed over at a presentation ceremony held at the Countryside Children’s Welfare Home included bags of rice, beans, sugar, gallons of oil, detergents ,used clothings, toilet rolls among others.

The donation, according to Rev. Daniel Quarshie, is in furtherance of the church corporate social responsibility to direct and positively affect the lives of orphans and children with special needs

Rev. Quarshie further said the essence of the gifts was to share the love of God with others especially the less privileged in the society.

According to him, Easter is a season of good news as it symbolizes the seal of the price Jesus paid to redeem humanity from sin, making the resurrection of Jesus Christ the birth, foundation and pillar of Christianity.

He therefore prayed for the salvation and restoration of shattered destinies among the beneficiary.

The Founder of the home, Mrs. Emma Boafo says this is a dream come true for the children lauded the TLPC for the gift.

She said that orphans had no hope of celebrating the Easter in good health due to the prevailing difficulties they were going through.

Mrs. Boafo promised to use the items for the intended purpose, and called on other well-meaning Ghanaians to follow the good works of TLPC.
