Kofi Adams Goes Berserk …Says NPP Members Are Wee Smokers

Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC,) Kofi Adams, has once again gone wild describing his political opponents as “wee smokers and cocaine sniffers.”

According to the deputy NDC scribe, members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) always troop to their headquarters in Asylum Down in Accra, “and that is where they are given wee and cocaine.”

“When the NPP people go to sit at their headquarters where they are giving wee and cocaine to sniff (then) when they come on air (public,) they begin to speak nonsense…,” Mr. Adams said.

Mr. Adams made these wild statements on Amansan Television (ATV’s) flagship programme Asem Yi Di Ka in Accra. These statements, Today learnt, has re-ignited the debate about insults in our politics which prior to the demise of the late President, John Evans Atta Mills, was a hot issue in the country.

Mr. Adams was reacting to a news item that some five hundred (500) members of the NDC communication team in Cape Coast in the Central region had been given Ipads each and two hundred Ghana Cedis at a meeting which he chaired at the Central regional capital.

And despite confirming that a meeting of that sort took place which he chaired, the NDC deputy scribe apart from failing to tell the host of the show, Nana Fianko, whether the items so mentioned were shared insisted “it is only people who smoke wee or cocaine who would say on air” that he engaged in anything like that.

“Wee and cocaine is shared for them, and after it is shared they finish smoking, they should learn to at least talk some sense…the fact that they smoke wee and cocaine does not mean they should talk by heart all the time…,” he continued with his rantings.

Despite calls on him to retract the statements, the NDC deputy general secretary insisted that it is only “wee and cocaine that are given to them [NPP members] at the headquarters.”

He further warned the NPP to desist from spreading falsehood about him since “smoking [wee or cocaine] does not mean they should spew out garbage….”
