A middle-aged man (name withheld), at the weekend, slumped and died while having marathon sex with a female student of Ebonyi State University.
The incident, it was gathered, happened at the girl’s hostel room at the Presco campus of the university, Abakaliki, the capital city.
An eyewitness, who prefers anonymity, told the Nigerian Tribune that the man died inside the room of the said female student located near Goddy Ogbaga Avenue.
It was also gathered that the lover-girl, after the incident, took the body of the deceased to his car, before proceeding to report the incident to the police.
She was immediately arrested and is currently helping the police in the investigation of the incident.
The source added: “It threw the entire hostel residents into confusion, as everybody began to run helter-skelter, in order to evade police arrest.”
He further said it was not clear whether the girl had been in a relationship with the man.
“I did not know what was happening until when police stormed our hostel and began to arrest everybody in sight. What I heard was that the man visited the girl and in the process of making love, died.
“I cannot say I know the girl very well, because our hostel is very large. It is a three-storey building and houses many students.
Police spokesman in the state, Chris Anyanwu, confirmed the report, but said he had not been fully briefed on details of the incident.
“ I have no details about the incident. I just made enquiry and I was told it happened at Goddy Ogbaga Avenue. I have not gotten any other information about it,” Anyanwu said.
