Promoted Great Olympics vow to augment bench and squad for Premier League

Great Olympics have promised to strengthen their technical and playing bodies before the start of the 2014/2015 Ghana Premier League campaign.

The capital-based side secured promotion last Friday after beating Tema Youth 2-1 in a zone III Division One League decider.

Despite boasting of experienced players like former Heart of Lions and Hearts winger Abraham Annan and Dotse Agbashie, the club want to freshen their squad for the task ahead in the elite division.

“I know that the division one is far different from the premier league which calls for us to beef-up our team to make as a strong force,” Board member Fred Pappoe told Kumais-based Metro fm.

“Even moving from one premier league season to the other, calls for some additions, let alone from a division one to the premier league.

“But it is not going to be revamping of our team, because the boys have shown they can improve with time.”

Olympics seem to have sent from the past where internal wrangling and boardroom quite cost them relegation in the top-flight in 2010.
