Lordina Thanks Ghanaians For Their Support


The First Lady Mrs Lordina Mahama has expressed gratitude to all Ghanaians who supported her during the funeral of her sister Mrs Mercy Yaa Ankomah, which took place in Kintampo a fortnight ago.

In a statement signed on behalf of the family by the First Lady, she thanked all for the extraordinary support and kind devotion during the funeral and memorial services of Mrs Mercy Yaa Ankomah.

The statement said the family’s thoughts and sympathies are with the accident victims and the bereaved families of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) regional executives who were involved in an accident on the Kintampo – Techiman highway whilst traveling to Accra after the funeral.

On behalf of my family, I wish to express our profound gratitude to all those who made it to our sister’s funeral in Kintampo.

I wish to acknowledge and appreciate the love and support you have given us during the funeral and memorial service of the passing on of our sister, Mrs Mercy Yaa Ankomah.

At such a time, the love and support of family and friends is absolutely invaluable. It helps us to heal. And for that loving support, we are forever grateful.

The kind generosity of good friends like you has been a great help to us during this very difficult time. My family and I would like to offer our most sincere thanks for your support.

The support you gave us was extraordinary. Please know that we are deeply grateful for your kind devotion. The loving sympathy you have shown during this tremendously difficult time is so greatly appreciated.

Thank you for honouring our sister’s memory with your very meaningful presence and donations. Your loving support and your presence meant a great deal to us.

There are simply no words to express our heartfelt thanks for the sympathy you have extended toward our family during this time of loss.

Your participation in the funeral and memorial services was so welcomed. Thank you for showing your care in this way. We cannot express enough what a huge comfort it was to us all. Your kindness has made such a difference in helping us get through this, and we hope you know how much you mean to us.

May the good Lord replace all that you may have lost before during and after the funeral of our sister. Our thoughts and sympathies are with the accident victims and the bereaved families.

Finally, our family would like to say how much we appreciated your presence at Mrs Mercy Yaa Ankomah’s funeral.
