Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited has held a dinner for its platinum customers to honour them for their loyalty.
Managing Director of Fidelity Bank, Edward Effah, who was the lead host at the dinner, acknowledged the special way in which the customers had impacted the bank’s operations.
‘The journey started some 15 years ago as Fidelity Discount House and grew to become Fidelity Bank in 2006. Barely eight years down the line, we are among the top six banks in the country in terms of industry deposits with the vision to become the 5th largest by the end of 2014,’ he said.
He said ‘we owe this feat to you our loyal customers; you believed in us from the very beginning of our journey and have stayed with us through thick and thin.’
Mr. Effah said they started as a one-bank branch in 2006 and had become largest private indigenous Bank in Ghana currently, adding, ‘today we pride ourselves with over 500,000 customers, 50 branches and 75 ATMS across the country with plans to roll out an additional 50 branches to bring the total number of branches to 100 by 2017.’
He said Fidelity Bank’s revolutionary banking model, Agency Banking and the Smart Account, was helping to strength the bank, saying ‘since its roll out in August 2013, the Bank has 144 agents in Accra and Kumasi with about 80,000 Smart Accounts opened with plans to have a thousand agents by close of 2014.’
He said the bank would provide what he called ‘better banking solutions that will spur their businesses to greater heights.’

The event was attended by the bank’s top most clients, shareholders and partners of the bank.
It was also used to formally welcome members into the Fidelity Platinum Club.
