The Muslim Students Society of Nigeria (MSS), called for the national fasting and prayer over Chibok girls’s safe сomeback on Sunday, 4 May, in Minna.
The abduction of more than 230 schoolgirls from a rural school in Chibok and the failure of the Federal Government to locate their likely whereabouts, has affected every person in the country. Presently we are all equal in the face of adversity, Muslims or Christians, south or north, PDP or APC, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Fulani should unite to fight back the terrorists and bring our children back home.
“Our view is that the nation is undergoing a trying period, the nation should wear a mourning look and all flags should be flown at half-mast until our sisters are rescued,” Folayemi said.
President of the The Muslim Students Society of Nigeria, Malam Abdulazeez Folayemi, encouraged everyone to embark on fasting and prayer to seek Allah’s intervention in the challenging times. He also stressed that the Muslim students in Nigeria and the Diaspora condemn the vicious act aimed at multiplying the suffering of the ordinary people.
He appealed to the Federal Government asking for the deployment of all necessary machinery to ensure the safe return of the girls. He adressed the subject of the 2nd Nyanya bomb explosion once again seeking for stronger measures to combat terrorists in Nigeria.
