Transfer News: Belgian giants Anderlecht take Ghana’s ‘Paul Pogba’ McCarthy Appiah on trials


Belgian giants Anderlect are keen on Ghana U17 pair of McCarthy Appiah and Shawn Oduro as they have offered them a two month trial spell. 

The duo were spotted by renowned Dutch football scout Jan Streuer who spotted former Real Madrid midfielder Mahamadou Diarra, Ghana striker Matthew Amoah and FC Twente youngster Shadrach Eghan.

Oduro is center-back who plays for Top Ten Academy in Ghana will seek to justify his talent during the trial period but the Belgians will be keen on Appiah who has been dubbed as new ‘Paul Pogba’.

Appiah’s vision and ability in midfield has earned him comparison with the French star and he would earn a deal at the club if he excels and would move from Ghanaian lower-tier side Asokwa Deportivo.
