Committee On Abducted Girls Rescue And Brief Of Meeting With Chiefs

Nigerian security agencies and international bodies have been involved in the work of the committee, Vanguard reports.

Information Minister Labaran Maku made this known after the yesterday’s meeting with security chiefs during which the military updated authorities on Nyanya fresh explosion and on the results of the abducted girls search, so as on measures to be employed in order to find and rescue the victims.

The minister stated that substantial air surveillance sources have been employed to track the routes to and from Chibok up to the Chad and Cameroun borders, adding that Borno and Adamawa states are also under Air Force watch (as it was previously reported that the children might have been take abroad).

Explaining that police in cooperation with all the competent agencies are combing all the suspicious places where the girls might have been hidden, Maku also said:

“The President’s heart goes out to these our unfortunate daughters who have had to endure the trauma of abduction and separation from their loved ones. The government and people of Nigeria stand solidly by them… Wherever the girls are in the world, we will get them back, apprehend and punish the culprits.”
