Celebrated gospel musician, Joyce Blessing, who won the Gospel Album of the Year at Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) held last Saturday at the Alisa Hotel, has been tipped by stakeholders and gospel music fans to grab the ultimate award for the gospel music category slated for Saturday, May 3.
The gospel artiste, who has been nominated in the Gospel Song of the Year, Best Female Vocal Performance, Gospel Artiste of the Year, Album of the Year and Best Collaboration of the Year categories, has assured her fans of picking more than just one award.
She told BEATWAVES , ‘Come Saturday, I will outshine my colleagues to grab the Gospel Song of the Year award.’
Based on her outstanding performance last year, Joyce Blessing was adjudged Gospel Artiste of the Year at the Ghana Gospel Industry Awards held at the National Theatre in December last year.
A section of the stakeholders in the music industry in a separate interview with the BEATWAVES tipped Joyce Blessing as the best nominee to walk away with the award, considering her performance during the calendar year of the awards.
According to the stakeholders, even though there are some key contenders for the various categories, they believe Joyce Blessing has a higher chance of winning the award.
