The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region on Tuesday declared a week of mourning for Madam Agnes Tiah, Deputy Volta Regional Women’s Organizer and Hajia Adisa, Greater-Accra Regional Deputy Women’s Organizer, who died in a road accident at the weekend.
A statement signed by Mr Simon Amegashie-Viglo, Volta Regional Secretary of the Party, said a book of condolence has been opened at the Regional Party Office in their remembrance.
It said an “emergency functional executive committee meeting” would be held on Wednesday, April 30, to discuss a week’s celebration for the two deputy women organizers.
Madam Tia and Hajia Adisa, were returning from a funeral at Techiman in the Brong-Ahafo Region on Saturday July 26 when they perished in an accident.
