The Chairman of Berock Ventures, Rockson Dogbegah, was over the weekend adjudged the Entrepreneur for the Year 2013 in the Building and Civil Engineering category at the UT Ghana Entrepreneur Awards Gala.

This is the second consecutive time that Mr Dogbegah has won the award.

Mr. Dogbegah, who is also the Vice President of the Chartered Institute of Building Africa, received the award based on his efforts at demonstrating entrepreneurial spirit, strategizing and displaying proven ability to realize these strategies.

The financial performance and growth of his business, personal integrity and commitment as well as corporate social responsibility were considered.

Mr. Dogbegah founded Berock Ventures over 20 years ago and it has grown into a major company, winning international competitive bids including projects such as the first National ICT project, which is nearing completion.

The company is venturing into other markets outside Ghana and also adding real estate to its portfolio of products.

Mr. Dogbegah was earlier this year invited to Switzerland by BID Group One, a global consulting firm, to receive the Century International Quality Era (CQE) award for 2014.

These recognitions are as a result of his commitment to excellence, he said.

He therefore urged business people as well as workers to excel in whatever they do, as they would be rewarded with success.

Mr. Dogbegah dedicated the award to the board, management and workers of the Berock Ventures.
