Feyenoord on the verge of Premier League return

Feyenoord closed in on qualification to the Premier League on Tuesday after recording a second-straight victory in the play-offs.

The Fetteh side moved top of the Zone II standings after defeating Gold Stars 2-1 at the Tema Stadium.

Dunkwa United ended any hopes held by Eleven Wise as they beat the former elite campaigners 4-2 at the Accra Stadium in the other group match.

Feyenoord needs just a point from the final game against Dunkwa United to confirm their place in the premiership.

The campaign in Zone III goes to the wire as Tema Youth and Great Olympics both won their matches to set up a final day decider.

Tema Youth moved top of the table after beating Istanbul 2-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Olympics pipped Okwawu United 1-0 at the Len Clay Stadium. And the result, a second, ends Okwawu’s hopes of qualification.
