Abubakari Sadiq Senior High School in Tamale has organized its maiden sporting activities which was aimed at identifying young talents and harnessing them for the national teams, as well as helping them to build professional careers.
Mr. Asad Khazal Salih, the Director of Africa Muslim Agency Speaking at the event, said the maiden sporting activity is going to be an annual event to identity and transform talented students for national sporting activities in the country.
He said the idea of physical education and sporting festival is to stimulate play behavior to develop physical fitness and skills among the students.
Alhaji Sayibu Ibrahim, the Head master of the Senior High School commended the students for their active role in the festival.
He also urged them to take their studies seriously in order to become responsible citizens in the near future.
The students took part in various activities including football, basketball, volleyball, Athletics and handball.
