Ghanaian winger Elvis Manu suffers injury while in action for Cambuur in Dutch top-flight

Dutch-born Ghanaian winger Elvis Manu pulled out of Cambuur’s 5-1 defeat at Feyenoord with an injury problem in the Dutch Eredivisie on Sunday afternoon.

The 20-year-old started the game for Cambuur, and was presented with the opportunity to prove his worth against his parent club but his afternoon was marred by an injury as he got replaced in the 33rd minute.

Nigerian international Bartholomew Ogbeche took his place but could not adequately fill in the void as Feyenoord coasted to a memorable win at the Stadion Feijenoord.

Manu was impressive for the entire period he spent at Cambuur, scoring 5 goals in 15 league games to help them survive relegation from the top-flight.

Cambuur medical officials will assess extent of the damage done to the attacker on Monday morning while Feyenoord follow the details with keen interest.
