M94 donates to Children’s home

Executives and members of the 1994 year group of the Tema Methodist Day Senior High School (M94), on Easter Sunday, 20 April 2014, donated some items to the Marfo Children’s Home in Tema to bring the meaning of the Easter Season to the children.

The team of old students was led by Ms. Suard Cesay the M’94 President.

The purpose of the visit was to recognise the good work that the home has been doing to improve the lives of the deprived and orphaned children in the community and to lend a hand of support to the home especially in the season of sacrifice and sharing.

Interacting with the children, M’94 President advised the children to be obedient, hardworking and God-fearing.

Some of the executives and members took turns to interact with the children and encouraged them to always follow their dreams.

They encouraged them to work hard and always strive for the best in all they do.

They also urged the children to study hard to give themselves better and wide opportunities in the future that will help bring change in their communities.

Mrs Adwoa Marfo, the owner of the home, expressed gratitude to M94 for making time to visit them and for donating the items.

She passionately shared her desire to see each child through school successfully and for them to become accomplished adults.

“My aim for setting up the Marfo Children’s Home is to educate the children because I believe education is the key to success”, she said.

Amongst the items donated were toiletries, snacks, and stationery items.
