Kumasi: Motor Rider Dies In A Crash

A motor rider believed to be in his twenties was killed Wednesday afternoon when he collided with a Kia Pick up at Santasi in Kumasi.

The deceased, whose identity is yet to be established, died instantly when he attempted to overtake the Kia but ended up colliding with it.

His body has since been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital morgue. An eyewitness who narrated the incident to Ultimate Radio, said

“I saw a blue KIA pride vehicle that was about to negotiate the u-turn and the motor bike was moving behind the car. The rider was looking while riding, so as soon as he turned and looked back, he collided into the rear of the KIA truck. The impact threw the rider off his bike and over the car; and he landed heavily in the street”.

“In a bid to avoid hitting the rider of the bike, the driver of the KIA turned and fell into a hole wrecking another person’s kiosk in the process. The rider died on the spot. There was a helmet lying next to him but I cannot tell whether he had it on or not”.
