Killer Confesses After A Visit By Ghost

It was an astonishing moment at the Brong Ahafo Regional Police Command on Wednesday March 26, 2014, when a suspected serial murderer arranged for a press conference to confess his sins before facing trial at the Law Courts.

The 27-year old Chain Saw Operator, Victor Amewugah, married with a child, at a Press conference confessed that he has killed two taxi drivers and bolted away with their vehicles.

According to the suspect, he killed one of the taxi drivers at Derma, near Bechem, in the Tano South District, and the other at Asuoso, near Abofour, in the Ashanti Region.

He revealed that he usually hired the drivers for long journeys and on the way he kills them with a gun hidden along the road, and then drives away their cars.

Amewugah continued that after killing the last taxi driver, he had never been able to sleep peacefully, and that the last straw that broke the camel’s back was when one night he heard a knock on his door and when he went to open it, he saw the ghost of the victim, who slapped him.

He said the terrible situation continued to happen until he was compelled to inform a friend, who also reported the matter to the police for his arrest. He was remanded by a Law Court in Oda, to reappear before it at a later date.

Victor Amewugah used the opportunity to advise colleague murderers to desist from the act, and asked for God’s forgiveness because no evil doer would live unpunished, regardless of how long it takes before one is arrested.
