Ayew: I Am Happy At Marseille

The Ghanaian winger says he is happy with Les Phoceens and can only talk about his future with the French Ligue 1 side when the appropriate time is due.

Ghana international Andre Ayew insists he is happy at the Stade Velodrome, despite interest from clubs such as Inter Milan, Napoli, Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle.

Ayew spoke on his future for the first time in so many months after a supposed injury prevented him from joining Napoli in January

“I am happy here,” Ayew told Provence. “It is true that in June there will be a year on my contract. If the leaders want to offer me something, we’ll see.”

“I can only think about just today. I cannot think about the next season, my future is today.”

The son of Ghana football legend Abedi Pele has also been tipped as the next skipper of Marseille. He is the club’s third highest paid player after Pierre-Andre Gignac and Mathieu Valbuena. Currently, he is valued at 20 million Euros.
