Esperance Confirm Paying Clottey’s Transfer Fee

The Blood and Gold insist that they have cleared every debt owed Ghanaian side Berekum Chelsea during the transfer of the striker.

Esperance have confirmed that they have paid the transfer fee of Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Clottey to Berekum Chelsea.

The former African champions announced on their official website that they have paid the money to the Blues after the club threatened to drag them to Fifa over it.

Clottey joined the Tunisian side in 2012 for a fee of US$ 1.5 million after excelling with Chelsea in the Caf Champions League but failed to find his feet and was subsequently shipped on loan to Al Dhafra last season.

The Ghanaian striker is likely to make his Al Dhafra move permanent at the end of the season.
