AWARD-WINNING Ghanaian gospel singer, Cwesi Oteng, whose music has gone down well with a large number of music lovers in Ghana and beyond, is billed to perform alongside American gospel music icon, Fred Hammond, at a concert dubbed: ‘Freedom Concert’ tomorrow Saturday, March 15, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Fred Hammond is an experienced gospel singer, bass guitar player and record producer who has been in the music industry since 1985. He has won multiple Grammy, Dove and Stellar awards and nominated as a performer, writer and producer on several occasions.
The young, energetic and handsome-looking Cwesi Oteng,
whose music and stagecraft have won him much recognition in Ghana and beyond, is expected to thrill gospel music fans alongside Fred Hammond with spectacular live musical performances.
He has promised his fans that they should expect the best from him in terms of ministration and performance excellence.
Some gospel artistes such as Mary Ghansah, Soul Winners, Ohemaa Mercy, Francis Amo, Joe Mettle, among others, would also be performing alongside Fred Hammond. Cwesi Oteng is arguably one of Ghana’s finest gospel artistes who has been able to successfully establish a different stance of Ghanaian gospel music. He has said that his inspiration was drawn from Fred Hammond Music Ministry.
The Freedom Concert is being organised by the Springs of Joy Ministry to complement the nation’s 57th Independence anniversary celebration.
