Hearts Beat Amidaus 3-0 In First Capital Plus Premier League

Hearts of Oak produced an emphatic display to condemn Amidaus Professionals to a 3-0 loss in the First Capital Plus Ghana Premier League on Sunday.

It was an afternoon that brought a different feeling for Mohammed Polo and his side as they dominated their opponents, created chances and scored them.

The opening goal, which arrived four minutes after the interval was an evidence of telepathy and well-rehearsed play. Emmanuel Hayford facing his former club, took control of the ball in midfield and his vision allowed him to released a delightful through-pass to Eric Kumi.

The Ghana U-20 invitee raced into the box to power the ball beyond the over-confident Ofori Antwi for his second goal in the second round.

After this point, the Phobians discovered a self-confidence they had lacked since the start of the second round, and both to that pattern in the game and the second goal arrived in the 56th minute.

Selasi Adjei capitalised on a goalkeeping blunder by Ofori Antwi to double the lead for the Phobians. On an afternoon where the striker did everything to punish his former club, he became overly successful when he came face-to-face with the 2013 Ghana U-20 keeper and forced the ball home.

Ivorian center-back Robin Gnagne stepped up in the 67th minute to convert a penalty to wrap up the victory for Hearts of Oak.
