Medeama Handed Raw Deal In Morocco, Offered Student Mattresses

The Chief Executive Officer of Medeama SC, James Essilfie says his side has been met with a poor reception by Moroccan club Maghreb Fes but insist the crummy treatment will not deter his side from securing another positive result against the Moroccans in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Tarkwa-based side touched down in Morocco on Wednesday and claims to have been recived poorly by the MAS officials with complaints about bush-leage food and substandard accomodation

“The accommodation is not in good shape but what can we do. It’s like the accommodation given to students. If you see the bed, it’s not good for us at all. It looks like a student mattress.”

“We have complained to officials of MAS and nothing is being done. We have also complained to the Club President. We are not going to let this accommodation issue deter us. We are going to make sure we beat them. We have psyched the players up,” Mr. Essilfie told CampioneSport.com.

Medeama, who arrived in Maghreb on Wednesday, had to sleep on student mattresses in a very uncomfortable hotel facility.

The Mauve and Yellow outfit will go into the reverse encounter of Saturday’s game with a 3-0 lead from the first leg at the Sekondi Essipong Stadium last Sunday.
