ABN TV (UK Sky Channel 290)has been awarded a Screen Nation Award as the ‘Favourite Black Channel’ in the UK, at its 9th annual Award Ceremony on the 23rd February. Out of 5 other black channels in its category, ABN TV was crowned ‘Favourite Black Channel’ – chosen purely through public voting. We are encouraged by this achievement.
Screen Nation is a Film and Television Awards organisation based in the UK. The event celebrates leading professionals of African Caribbean heritage in the industry.
Winning this award means so much. It has now opened new opportunities for the channel, broadened our audience and made us stand out among channels in that category that have been running for quite some time.
