Owner and Bankroller of Kumasi based King Faisal, Alhaji Karim Grunsah says his club has for a long time suffered at the hands of referee Cecil Fletcher in their matches the Takoradi-based official has handled.
Fletcher who handled the Ghana Premier League midweek fixture between Inter Allies and King Faisal at the Tema Sports stadium has been accused by the outspoken Grunsah as having influenced the game in the home side’s favour.
“As for Cecil Fletcher, I don’t really know what I have done to him because anytime he officiates King Faisal matches, there are always a lot of questions to be answered”.
“You know it is upon any club that plays as a home team in premier league matches to cater for the referees and accommodate the officials but I remember we once played a game in Kumasi and Fletcher was supposed to officiate but he never reported himself to us”.
“He went to book his own hotel and someone gave us a tip about his whereabouts before he finally came into the room we booked for him and that tells you that he had a premonition of the match”.
“In the match yesterday, everything shows that he came into the game to frustrate us and that was exactly what he did. He even refused to shake hands with my coach”
