Nigeria Propose Friendly Against Ghana’s World Cup Opponent

Nigeria plan to play Ghana’s Group G World Cup opponent, Portugal, as part of the Super Eagles preparation for the Brazil 2014 tournament.

Nigeria are drawn against Argentina, Iran and Bosnia-Herzegovina in Group F, while Portugal are drawn alongside Ghana, Germany and USA in Group G.

The Chairman of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical Committee, Chris Green, told local radio station, Brila FM, that the match will go ahead if Portugal accept the terms.

“They [Portugal] play like Argentina and Bosnia-Hezegovina. But for the friendly to come to life, Portugal have to accept and be interested,” Green said.
