Kotoko Defender Ainooson Traumatized, Needs A Psychologist

Ghana and Asante Kotoko defender Samuel Abeiku Ainooson has disclosed that he has been extremely traumatised by the shock exit of the club from the CAF Champions League and will need to consult a professional psychologist to be able to carry on for the rest of the season.

The Asante Kotoko center-back says he is so depressed after Kotoko were knocked out of the CAF Champions League against Barrack Young Controllers (BYC) through superior away goal rule.

“I can’t believe it happened, because it was an unexpected goal against us, after we had defended very well.

“I don’t know how to continue the rest of the season with a sound mind, after the loss to BYC and I therefore need a psychologist to help me out,” he told Metro fm.

He added that the entire Kotoko team has disappointed the fans, but they need to support them in this time of crisis.

“We have let our fans down by being eliminated at the preliminary round, but they need to support us in this time of difficulties, either than that things will fall apart.”

The defender claims he was recovering from Ghana’s loss to Libya in the CHAN final in South Africa where he missed a penalty as well.
