We Will Continue To Fly – Mintah

Ebusua Dwarfs’ coach, Anthony Mintah has said his side will continue to fly in their maiden appearance in the CAF Confederations Cup given the right backing by management.

Dwarfs against the odds defeated Senegalese side ASC Jaraaf in the preliminary round of the competition to move to the next stage at first time of asking and Mintah is convinced his team has the quality to dazzle.

He told GNA Sports “with the right backing from the management, this team will continue to deliver because it is a group of players determined and committed to doing well in the competition.”

Dwarfs progressed on a 1-0 aggregate and set to clash Angolan side Petro Atletico de Luanda at the next phase of the competition which has Medeama as the other Ghanaian campaigner.

Dwarfs will start as underdogs against Petro Atletico, 15 times champions of the Angolan League but the coach is unfazed with the challenge.

“I know the quality of my players. I recruited some of them myself and I did so with competitions like this in mind.”

The Angolans, semi finalist of the 2001 CAF Champions League will trek Cape Coast on the weekend of February 28- 02 March for the first leg before hosting the reverse fixture around March 7-9 in Luanda.
