John Dumelo marked this year’s Valentine’s Day in a unique way, by spending the day with widows in the village of Ada Foah Kewunor.

He donated food items such as rice, tin tomatoes, oil and mackerel to the windows. He also gave out stationary and school supplies to the children of some of the widows.

“I decided to spend the day with the widows because Valentine’s Day is a period of giving, people spend time with their loved ones, sharing gifts, chocolates, roses among other things, and since these women have lost their loved ones in the past I feel they basically need some love and support,” John explained.

John also said that in 2014, his John Dumelo Foundation will be working hard to affect the lives of 5000 school children around Africa and some 1000 widows in Ghana.
