The President of the ECOWAS Commission, Kadre Desire Ouedraogo has paid tribute to soldiers of the allied forces who fought to defend the territorial integrity of Mali and Collective Security of the Sub- Region.
He said among formidable challenges such as terrorism and hostility from key internal stakeholders in Mali, ECOWAS through these soldiers has achieved remarkable success.
Mr Ouedraogo said it is the Commission’s goal to assist Mali to restore constitutional legality.
Mr Ouedraogo made these remarks at the opening of a three day forum at Akosombo.
The forum will discuss initiatives and responses to the Multi-dimensional crises in Mali.
