MTN treats customers to exciting movies on Valentine’s Day


A cross section of MTN customers will be treated to a special movie session dubbed “MTN Vals Day Movie Mania” in Accra and Kumasi on Valentine’s Day, 14th February 2014.

Selected customers in Accra will watch a movie titled ‘About Last Night’, written by Leslye Headland (screenplay), Tim Kazurinsky and directed by Steve Pink. It tells the story about the new love for two couples as they journey from the bar to the bedroom and are eventually put to the test in the real world.  Some of the stars featured in the movie include: Kevin Hart, Joy Bryant, and Regina Hall.

At the Golden Tulip Hotel in Kumasi, MTN customers will watch a true story about Captain Richard Phillips and the 2009 hijacking by Somali pirates of the US-flagged MV Maersk Alabama, the first American cargo ship to be hijacked in two hundred years.  The film titled ‘Captain Phillips’ is directed by Paul Greengrass and features stars like Tom Hanks, Barkhad Abdi , and  Barkhad Abdirahman http://www.imdb.com/name/nm5831542/?ref_=tt_ov_st . http://www.imdb.com/name/nm5831543/?ref_=tt_ov_st

MTN Movie Mania is one of the social entertainmentplatforms that MTN uses to engage itscustomers at the cinemas. Customers get to watchboth foreign and local movies with different genres ranging from comedy to thriller movies with life transforming messages.

Stakeholders also get to learn more about MTN products and services as well as have experiential moments with the brand.

We will continue to use occasions such as the valentine’s day to get more closer to our customers, know their needs and develop products and services that will meet their unique needs”, she added.

In addition to Movie Mania MTN Ghana Foundation mobilized staff and members of the general public to donate blood to re-stock the National Blood Bank. The Valentine’s Day Blood Donation exercise was started in 2011 and has proved to be very successful.
