Kotoko GM Opoku Nti Blasts ‘Doom Seeking Journalists’

Asante Kotoko Acting General Manager, Samuel Opoku Nti has launched a stinging attack at journalists who he claims have been hired to insult and attack his personality.

The 1983 CAF Champions league winner believes a certain media institution has been on a mission to run him down and derail the Porcupine Warriors’s preparations ahead of their clash with BYC of Liberia.

Nti was reacting to a media report claiming that players of Asante Kotoko have decided to boycott the Champions League return leg clash in Monrovia due to unpaid salaries.

The soft spoken man told Angel FM “I have decided not to comment and even read anything from that website which published the story because I realised they have a hidden agenda against me and the club”.

“They earlier claimed that we have signed John Mensah for the club when in fact I had no idea of where John Mensah was playing and if with these lies and attacks they have planned to cause my doom, its their own problem”.

“This is not the first or second but on countless number of occasions that they have written and publish false stories about me and the current management and may be they just hate us or they have been hired to attack my personality”.

“I have called their boss to tell him the kind of work they are doing and we are waiting for a retraction of that story but if they wont, then I will see what I do”.

“If they are claiming that the players have decided to boycott the game then let us all wait and see if the players will travel or not then we see who has been the liar in this case and determine what the doom-seekers want to achieve”. He added.
