Selected hiplife artistes billed to perform at a two-day valentine event dubbed ‘Weekend of Love, Music and Comedy’ in Takoradi on February 14 and 15, at the Champs Sports Bar and Vienna Beach respectively, have promised to thrill fans to their satisfaction.
The event, being organised by Empire Entertainment in collaboration with Empire FM forms part of activities lined up to entertain Ghanaians during the Valentine’s Day celebration.
The February 14 event which takes place at Champs Sports Bar in Takoradi, according to the organisers is a celebrity night where celebrities will meet and interact with their various fans and take photographs with them. The February 15 beach jam at the Vienna Beach, also in Takoradi, will witness performances from some selected artistes.
The two-day event aimed at taking Ghanaian music to another level will feature artistes such as Castro, Kaakie, Joey B, Raquel and a host of others.
Ghanaian musical powerhouse Kaakie, who is one of the main acts to perform at the occasion, is one of the female dancehall artistes today who have made quite an impression on the international scene, scooping a number of awards within two years.
She picked the New Artiste of the Year and Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year awards at the 2013 Ghana Music Awards and Best Female Vocalist at the 2013 BASS Awards.
Raquel, Castro and Joey B have also made a number of appearances on numerous musical platforms and performed creditably to the satisfaction of music fans.
