Armstrong-Mortagbe apologises to Hearts fans after defeat

Hearts of Oak Managing Director Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe http://http://allsports.com.gh/2014/01/03/polo-is-still-our-man-mortagbe/ has apologised to the fans of the club after his team were walloped 3-0 by Wa All Stars, their heaviest defeat in 34 years.

Goals from Samuel Boateng, Abdul Ganiyu and Paul De-Vries were enough for the Wa based club to become the first club to beat Hearts by a six-goal margin in a home and away match in the history of the Ghana Premier League.

The result got Hearts fans infuriated as they chanted for the sacking of Coach Mohammed Polo and left the FIFA Marketing Consultant totally deflated.

“I want to apologise to all Hearts of Oak fans after we suffered this defeat,” Armstrong-Mortagbe grovelled on Asempa FM’s ultimate sports.

“This defeat shouldn’t have happened to Hearts. I was listening to the views of the supporters of the club after the game and a lot of things happened behind the scenes.”

“Losing is hard to take but losing in such a manner is hard for us. I’ll meet the board and management of the team and review what really went wrong for the team.”

Hearts travel to Aduana Stars for their next Premier League game on 15th February.
