They came and stood in worship

Donnie McClurkinDonnie McClurkinThe MTN Ghana Stands In Worship Concert held last Saturday at Accra Sports Stadium  is still being talked about for the large attendance and also for smooth staging of the show by Imajin Advertising.

It was a highly successful show which Kojo Soboh,  Events and Promotions Manager at  Imajin Advertising, put down to effective planning.

“We put in a great deal of preparation and the result was still above our expectation. We wanted to thrill everyone with more than the artistes had to offer  so we ensured that the stage design was excellent and that we had the best of sound equally spread over the whole area,” Soboh said after the show.

Artistes that performed at the show were Ella Duncan Williams, Mary Ghansah, Miriam of MTN Hit- Maker fame, Cecilia Marfo, Mthumzi Namba  from South Africa, Donnie McClurkin from the United States, Nigeria’s Uche Agu,  Rev. Bernard Blessing and No Tribe.

The overwhelming attendance, Soboh admitted, was due to the support from various church leaders, some of  whom were there to see the programme. They  included His Eminence Duncan Williams, Evangelist Robert Ampiah-Kwofie, Dr Lawrence Tetteh and Rev. Stephen Mensah.

MTN officials at the event said they were exceedingly impressed with how the show went and would be ready to associate themselves with another one next year.”

“We have  no regrets at all for sponsoring the worship concert. We hit all the targets we set ourselves for sponsoring the programme and we are very happy about that,” the official said.

Imajin Advertising  organised the Legends and Legacy Ball (LAL) events in 2011 and 2012 that celebrated highlife greats Daddy Lumba and Amakye Dede respectively.  It also organised the Stand Up GH concert that featured American R&B singer Keri Hilson and rapper Bow Wow last year.

With the stunning  success of the MTN Ghana Stands in Worship Concert, it already appears Imajin Advertising  has set  very high standards for concerts in this country.

The concert was supported by UniBank, Janaam Car Rental,  Exquisite Decor and refreshed by Coca Cola and Special Ice Mineral Water.
