Mrs Mary Obiri Yeboah, newly appointed Executive Director of the National Road Safety Commission (NRSC) has pledged the commission’s commitment to find innovative ways of curbing road crashes.
She said with the support of stakeholders, road fatalities and its consequential loss to the country would be brought under control.
Mrs Yeboah gave the pledge at the 2013 review conference of the NRSC underway at Fumesua, in the Kumasi Metropolis.
The one-week conference is being attended by NRSC Regional Managers and Assistant Planning Officers, Regional members of the NRSC as well as journalists from Ghana News Agency.
Mrs Yeboah said ensuring road safety is a shared responsibility.
She expressed optimism that the participants would take the conference seriously and contribute meaningfully towards its success.
