Be Mindful Of Your Utterance – Ndebugri Cautions Ken Kuranchie

Lawyer and former Member of Parliament for Zebilla , John Ndebugri has appealed to the Editor of the Daily Searchlight newspaper, Ken Kuranchie to be circumspective in his utterance because in his opinion, “there is no heroism in what he is doing; to describe the Supreme Court of our Republic as hypocritical and selective is an accusation and a charge of wrong doing”

According to lawyer Ndebugri, Mr. Kuranchie should “let matters rest, the way he is proceeding is not going to help and the country. This country is no more looking for heroes.”

Mr. Ken Kuranchie was on Thursday released from the Nsawam prisons after serving a 10-day jail term.

Upon his release however, Mr. Kuranchie, who is also a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), stated: “I do not regret my publication. If the opportunity came up again, I would make the same comparisons and raise the same issue.”

Mr John Ndebugri in an interview with Citi News however noted that there was a need to distinguish between free speech and irresponsible speech.

“If we allow people to insult any of them [judges] the way they like, I think it’s a recipe for chaos.”

Meanwhile, Lawyer for Ken Kuranchie, Atta Akyea has indicated that his client is well aware of the consequences of his actions.

“Ken Kuranchie is not a toddler for people to tell him what to do. What he is doing is his choice.”
