Kevin-Prince Boateng will return to AC Milan for pre-season on Monday but met NBA star Kevin Durant while on holiday in US describing him as one of the greatest.
The 25-year-old is making a return to his Italian club with his long-term future still uncertain.
He has been linked with a move to a number of clubs with ambitious and mega spenders Paris St Germain and Monaco believed to be leading the chase for his signature.
AC Milan are tossing with the idea of selling the player after he confirmed he may not stay with the Rossoneri next season.
English powerhouse Manchester City are also monitoring the situation and could pounce if Milan decides to do business.
The former Spurs man has declared himself available for Ghana again after he shockinghly retired from international football in 2011.
He could be available for the 2014 World Cup group decider against Zambia in September.
