Sulley Muntari says he will never disrespect Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah.

Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari says him questioning head coach Kwesi Appiah over his substitution in last week’s 2014 World Cup qualifier against Lesotho does not connote disrespect.

The AC Milan ace angrily approached Appiah and asked why he had to be replaced in the second half by Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu.

Muntari stormed off into the dressing and later rejoined them to celebrate the 2-0 win which sent Ghana to the top of the table.

He has criticized by fans for his unprofessional act but the 28-year-old watered down the severity of his

“I asked him why he changed me and he told me it was a tactical reason which I did understand him,” Muntari said.

“If you want to win or have something good you have to respect everyone and that’s what is happening in the national team.

“Coach Appiah is a cool person and I will never disrespect him.”
