Major Shake-up Or Reshuffle Isn’t The Answer; The “Khaki” Boys Will Still Be In Charge

A member of the communicator team for Progressive People’s Party (PPP) Richard Nii Armah is not in agreement with calls for a major shake-up in government because it will still be the same “khaki boys” at the helm of affairs.

Richard Nii Armah believes despite the string of disappointing performances by some of the appointed government functionaries, a ministerial re-shuffle will have no serious bearing on the amount to nothing.

According to him, what the country needs now is a revolution across every sector, because everything is hurriedly retrogressing and the expectation of the masses after the elections that things were going to improve has become a mirage.

Speaking on Okay fm, he said in the face of rampant market and industrial fire outbreaks, coupled with the recent increase in fuel prices and utility companies pushing for tariff increases; what will do the trick for Ghana is not a ministerial re-shuffle but rather a change of government.

“…what I have noticed about the Mahama administration is that the ministers are always in the media doing propaganda and twisting facts and figures…there is no knowing where we are heading as a country….from the Presidency to ministers, they are always lying to the nation…

“…I feel we need a revolution in the country because the “major shake-up” that Kwesi Pratt is talking about will still include the Khaki boys in the party,” the PPP communicator opined, adding that “President Mahama’s administration has led to Ghanaians witnessing ministers of state whose actions and inactions have rendered the country poorer than it was…they seem to be rather adept at contradicting themselves.”
