Officials of BOST surprised at decision to investigate two of its oil depots

Officials of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transport Company (BOST) have expressed surprise at the Energy Minister’s decision to set up a committee to investigate alleged impropriety at two of the company’s depots.

The Energy Minister, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini on Tuesday inaugurated an eight-member committee of inquiry to investigate alleged corrupt practices at the Accra Plains and Kumasi depots.

But speaking to Joy News, the Director of Public Affairs at BOST Salifu Nat Acheampong said the company was already conducting its own internal inquiry before the committee was set up.

However he said that inquiry has stalled because officials at BOST are waiting for the ministry to furnish it with evidence to back the allegations.
