Ghana defender John Pantsil has sent a goodwill message to the Black Stars to beat Lesotho in Sunday’s World Cup qualifier.

The ex-Fulham man, who was not invited for this month’s double qualifiers, wants the current crop of player to take the assignment seriously.

The message read: “Sunday is another hurdle for our beloved Black Stars on the road to the Brazil 2014 Fifa World Cup, and I wish my colleagues all the best against Lesotho.

“You made the entire nation and yourselves proud last week by scaling a tough hurdle in Sudan with an emphatic victory and I urge you on to make it a remarkable six points from two difficult away games.

“No international match is easy, and this won’t be an easy battle, but your sheer hard work and determination will surely be crowned with a remarkable victory against Lesotho to take Ghana a step closer to the next and final round of the qualifiers.

“We have always adopted the ‘one-match-at-a-time’ approach, and Lesotho is the most important and biggest match confronting us right now. Once we see them as the biggest obstacle confronting us, we will dismantle them in style.

“We are the glittering Black Stars and the sky is always our limit. By the grace of the Almighty God, we will shine again and comeback home with a resounding victory

“Once again, I wish you all the best.”

The Black Stars will go top of Group D if they beat Lesotho in Maseru after Sudan held leaders Zambia to a 1-1 draw in Ndola.
