With only some few minutes to sing, hopeful talents with hopes of being cast on the 3rd season of Vodafone Icons had to convince Gina West, Appietus and Eazzy they deserved a role on the show at the La Palm Hotel.
Auditions began showing up as early as 8:30 am. More than 2,000 people turned up to audition and the last person to audition finished at 6:50 pm, much later than the scheduled ending time.
Eazzy who came on as a guest judge was hoping to spot a female MC.
“So far I haven’t been totally impressed, I am waiting to find uniqueness – a voice that will hit you so you can say that we haven’t heard this before in Ghana. I’m still waiting to find a girl who can rap”, she said.
The selected contestants expressed their happiness to Ghana Music.com about qualifying for the next stage of the competition and promised to make it a successful one.
“I see an opportunity and I’m gonna go after it,” one of the contestants who made it said.
