R2Bees handled the 2013 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards like that were an alien invasion at the Accra International Conference centre yesterday.
In other worlds: they won big time this time around, walking away with five solid awards.
R2Bees are the first artistes to win the car for the Artiste of the Year which was initiated by MUSIGA.
Well also.. not everyone won. There were a lot of losers at the 2013 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. Ghana Music.com was shocked to find out D-Black, Sarkodie, Cwesi Oteng, Natural Face, VIP and Edem were also not winners at the industry event.
Other celebrated winners on the night included Kaakie who won Reggae Dancehall Song of the Year and New Artiste of the Year whiles rapper M.anifest surprisingly won Hiphop Song of the Year and Rapper of the Year.
EL’s double disc album CD was awarded the the Album of the Year award.
The Starboy, Wizkid won African Artiste of the Year and gave a sizzling performance.
The awards started with performances from Efya, Steve, Herty Borngreat, Fuse ODG, Wizkid, VIP, Sarkodie, M.anifest, Criss Waddle, Amandzeba Nat Brew, Asem, Kwabena Kwabena and R2Bees.
Well the always notable Ghana Music Awards have come and gone.
