The Asante Kotoko team bus which got damaged last Sunday.
Asante Kotoko say it will cost the club GHC 5,090 (US$ 2500) to repair their damaged bus following violent attacks by Berekum Arsenal fans last Sunday.
The estimate was contained in management’s letter sent to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) secretariat earlier last week.
Signed by Special Assistant to the Executive Chairman, Opoku Nti, the letter recalled events that led to the destruction of the bus in Berekum.
“After the said match fans of Berekum Arsenal football club attacked players and officials who were in the Kotoko team bus with stones and other objects and in the process smashed the windscreen of the team bus,” the letter read.
“Consequently one of our players, Rashid Sumaila and two supporters got injured.
“The estimated cost of the damage to the bus is five thousand and ninety Ghana cedis.”
