Espanyol whizkid Paul Quaye has been ruled out of Ghana U20′s World Cup squad after suffering a foot injury.

The 17-year-old has been ruled out of action for five weeks after picking the injury while in action for Espanyol B  side in the Segunda B two weeks ago.

Espanyol doctors performed scans on the injury and have asked the talented midfielder to sit out for five weeks.

Ghana FA officials contacted the former Aspire Academy boy but he told them he cannot be available for the tournament due to injury.

Quaye, who last season, became the second youngest play to play in the Spanish La Liga was among an initial 41-man list released by Sellas Tetteh last month to converge in Accra.
