The Central Regional Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Allotey Jacobs has unleashed an onslaught on members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), describing them as specialist in “irritating” Ghanaians with their “banza” petition to the Supreme Court.

“For Ghana to move forward, the Supreme Court must throw away the NPP’s ‘banza’ petition”, he charged.

He hinted that if NDC members were to respond to most of the “nonsensical” issues the NPP keeps bringing on board, Mother Ghana would be unsafe to live in.

Mr. Jacobs noted that Ghanaians were getting fed up with the way and manner NPP members were disintegrating the country with their incessant threats which is mainly “empty”.

Speaking on Okay FM, an Accra based radio station; Allotey Jacobs explained that it was unfair on the part of the NPP to challenge the 327 applicants who have expressed interest in joining the NPP’s petition to the Supreme Court, challenging the legitimacy of President Mahama.

He argued that if the NPP had the effrontery to increase their evidence of the alleged irregularities from a region of over four thousands to eleven thousand, then it was unnecessary for them to oppose the applicants who have filed to join the case.

He added that it was ironic on the part of the New Patriotic Party to be accusing the NDC of plotting to delay the court proceedings when they are the ones who have been sky rocketing their evidence from time to time.

“They have increased their evidence from a region of four thousand to eleven thousand…are they not the one’s delaying the case?” he asked.

“A lot of the people, who have expressed their desire to join the lawsuit, are polling agents who are angry over the way and manner the NPP keeps drumming into our ears that irregularities took place at the centers they supervised.

“They all have the documents and pink sheets to testify in courts based on the way people have appended their signatures to the sheet. They don’t know where the NPP is coming from with their empty noises and this irritates them,” Mr. Jacobs revealed.
