Despite the opposition that characterized Bede Zeden’s reassignment as the Northern Regional Minister, a group calling itself the Tamale Metro NDC Youth Coalition has endorsed his appointment.
The group applauded President John Mahama for the decision and anticipated that Bede Zieden will prove his critics wrong by living beyond reproach.
“As a coalition, we salute President Mahama on his wise decision of reassigning Mr. Bede Zeiden to the Northern Region and it is our believe that Hon. Bede Zeideng as a true party member is competent and good enough to deliver the better Ghana Agenda for the region.”
The Coalition’s Secretary, Iddrisu Issahaku in an interview with Citi News said the move will enhance national cohesion.
“In line with executing the better Ghana Agenda, the President thought it wise to effect an immediate reshuffle to enable people to serve and deliver the better Ghana Agenda in regions where they are not natives; the benefit of this idea of letting people to serve in other regions is commendable as it happened during the Rawlings and Kufuor regimes.”
He said, “It is the believe of the coalition that Hon. Bede Zeiden an experienced politician of his status must be partnered by an equally experienced yet to be appointed Deputy so as to deliver to the satisfaction of the all.”
Iddrisu Issahaku pleaded with all NDC youth groups in the region to rally behind the incoming regional minister, Bede Zeiden.
