The Secretary General of the Somali Media for Environment, Science, Health and Agriculture (SOMESHA) who has being tracking the case of unlawfully sentenced journalist Abdiasis Abdinur Ibrahim “Koronto”
issued today an urgent press briefing alarms on Abdiasis Abdinur’s security domestically and calls the federal Republic of Somalia Government to ensure the journalist security and his health safety as well.
This alert from SOMESHA chief H.E, Mr. Daud Abdi Daud comes after when horrific news indicating the killing of captive Shabab militants within Mogadishu prisons without prober charge and the reaction from
their families who were spoken to the media outlets since their youth murder and the recent Cholera outbreaks in Somalia Central Prison in which Abdiasis is in custody.
Mr. Daud also calls Somalia security officers not gagging and intimidating the private sector media outlets to talk publicly about this case.
