Accra, March 12, GNA – Samsung Electronics Company Limited is hosting learners from private, public, and underprivileged schools, at the Samsung Africa Forum 2013, in Cape Town, South Africa, this week.
Learners from all walks of life would have the opportunity to experience Samsung’s innovative technology at first hand, with the focus of demonstrating how sustainable product use could have a positive impact on their personal lives, education and the economy.
A statement issued by Samsung Electronics, copied to GNA in Accra on Tuesday, said the company aimed to host a significant number of school children at the expo centre.
‘We want to provide learners with the chance to engage with advanced technologies that can empower them to live a brighter future in the inter-connected world. Having access to specialists in the field would give the participants greater understanding of how pervasive technology had become in every aspect of lives,’ it said.
It said places to be visited would include the Samsung Solar Powered Internet School and Smart School zones.    Â
These initiatives, the statement said, underpin Samsung’s commitment in investing in the youth and supporting their educational needs.
The statement said interactive information sessions, to be hosted by specialist trainers, would simulate real-life scenarios that would showcase how technology could enhance the learning experience in the areas of Mathematics, Music, art and History.
‘Samsung is passionate about offering a smarter life with no limitations, for all. This initiative is another way we are demonstrating our leadership in educational solutions, as we strive to lead and remain at the top of the consumer electronics market. Through this exposure to Samsung solutions we aim to encourage the youth to become more technology savvy and drive an understanding of the solutions we offer,’ it said.
